The GOP, UNC, and PPP in IHE and N&O

Too many acronyms? Let me explain. I was fortunate enough this month to have an essay featured in Inside Higher Ed (IHE) on Republicans’ views on higher education. A recent Pew poll suggests that the GOP distrusts colleges and universities. In the essay, I treat UNC-Chapel Hill as a case study as to why the poll data need a little more explanation. I use polling data from Public Policy Polling (PPP) to shed some light on the Pew findings. If the Inside Higher Ed article wasn’t enough, the piece was also mentioned in an article that ran in the Charlotte Observer and the News & Observer (N&O) in the Triangle Area!
